I’d like to say Brandon Novak’s skateboarding style is natural, flowing and intuitive. From the point he got his first skateboard Brandon breathed it, slept it and dreamed it. This deep connection he had with skateboarding incubated a natural, flowing and intuitive style.
1) Natural, because it’s as if he was born with the ability to shred. Brandon said, “ it was if God gave me the holy grail in the form of a skateboard”. Tony Hawk “wow that’s really unbelievable for a kid to do that kind of thing”.
2) Flowing, just watch him skate he doesn’t try to be fancy or throw in some stylish moves. He just flows creating style. He flows expressing his body naturally.
3) Intuitive, because he executes tricks, rotations, and grinds with instinctual precision. Dreaming about skateboarding so much created a subconscious road-map that Brandon can tap at any time.
Studies done have shown that visualization and an almost obsessive desire to achieve one’s goals bring excellence that is grown with these qualities. He has a natural style because he didn’t go out and pick a style to try and copy. It formed from his love for skateboarding.
